TT Gaskets, a Tampere-based family-owned company, has completed a significant €3.5 million investment in a new laser cutting line. The upgrade increases production capacity, enhances real-time transparency of production flows, and fuels the company’s international growth through its subsidiaries in Sweden, Germany, and the United States.
The investment included a new production control system, major facility renovations, and the implementation of an advanced laser cutting system, automated warehouse, and loading/unloading robotics. This upgrade creates tangible value for customers through improved productivity, efficiency, and delivery reliability.
– “Growth doesn’t come by waiting. It comes from bold investments and a vision executed with determination. With this new laser cutting line, we can promise our customers faster and more reliable deliveries – delivered with efficiency, responsibility, and a true pioneering spirit,” says TT Gaskets CEO Aleksi Arpiainen.
TT Gaskets is known as “The House of a Thousand and One Gaskets”. The company manufactures gaskets, demanding flat industrial components, as well as insulation products and service solutions for the most challenging industrial applications.
TT Gaskets serves a wide range of sectors, including engine and battery industries, heavy machinery, defense, pump and valve manufacturing, and process industries – with tailored gasket and service solutions, including shutdown services.
TT Gaskets’ exports have grown strongly in recent years. The company believes that international sales is as vital an investment as machines and equipment.
– “In Finland’s SME sector, we often talk about technical investments but far too rarely about bold sales investments. We believe that growing international trade is just as important as renewing the production machinery – only then can long-term competitiveness be built,” Arpiainen emphasizes.
The launch of the new laser cutting line was celebrated on October 1, 2025, with around 150 customers, partners, and employees. The Oktoberfest-themed event showcased the new production capacity as well as TT Gaskets’ future solutions.
– “We’ve always believed that when worries are shared, they halve – and when joy and courage are shared, they double. At the launch, this came alive: teamwork and belief in the future carry us into the next stage of growth,” Arpiainen sums up.
TT Gaskets also aims to be a forerunner in sustainability. This year, the company published the world’s first third-party audited VSME report, highlighting sustainability development in SMEs. At the same time, TT Gaskets is investing in innovative gasket solutions for future needs, such as the hydrogen economy.
