Metal-jacketed Gaskets

A Metal-jacketed gasket withstands a very high surface pressure in order to work. The gasket molds well and has very good resistance drift abilities.

In many cases, the metal-jacketed gaskets are replaced with camprofile gaskets because of significant technical advances of the latter.

The frame of a metal-jacketed gasket consists of soft ceramic fiber or graphite. On top of the soft frame is a metal surface which material is chosen according to the working conditions as well as the hardness of the flange surface.

Most of the times a double sheathed coating is used for its easier handling and better internal resistance abilities. We manufacture metal-jacketed gaskets according to EN, ASME and GOST standards as well as custom-make them according to customers’ drawings or measurements. The geometries of these gaskets may vary from round to rectangular or from ellipse to oval.

If needed, the gasket geometrics can also be defined from a client-provided model with our video measuring devices.

FAQ

Metal-jacketed Gaskets

Metal-jacketed gaskets feature easy handling, solid construction and easy installation.

Metal-jacketed gaskets are often found in the petrochemical and chemical industries. They are well-suited for the sealing of heat exchangers and assemblies that require a thin-flanged gasket.
