Matti Arpiainen Awarded Lithuanian Diplomacy Star for Strengthening Finland–Lithuania Relations

TT Gaskets is proud to share that Matti Juhani Arpiainen has been awarded the “Star of Lithuanian Diplomacy”, a distinguished honour granted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania.

The recognition was awarded for his significant contribution to developing business relations between Finland and Lithuania, as well as his active role in organizing cultural and historical events and promoting Lithuania’s presence in Finland.

From Business Leadership to Diplomacy

Matti’s diplomatic journey is closely connected to his role as former CEO of TT Gaskets. Through years of international business and collaboration, he became a trusted and well-known figure among Lithuanian partners.

This led to his appointment as Honorary Consul of Lithuania in Finland, where he has served under three ambassadors, supporting cooperation across business, culture, and society.

Strengthening Business Connections

A key part of Matti’s work has been building bridges between companies in both countries. In collaboration with the Finland–Lithuania Chamber of Commerce, he has facilitated business delegations, supported cooperation at industry fairs, and organized meetings between Finnish and Lithuanian companies.

He has also supported visiting delegations, community connections, and practical arrangements that help strengthen relationships at a human level, reflecting a hands-on and people-focused approach to diplomacy.

Although Matti has been involved in numerous international initiatives throughout his career, this recognition holds a particularly special meaning.
