TT Gaskets spiral wound gaskets are used for example in power plants, chemical industry and OEM-manufacturing. We offer standard-sized spiral wound gaskets straight from our extensive stock – and thanks to our own machines, tailored gaskets on a fast schedule.
The use of spiral wound gaskets is common in power plants, pulp mills and petrochemical industry. Spiral wound gaskets can withstand higher pressures and temperatures than flange gaskets cut from sheet metal. The sealing part consists of a metal, v-shaped spiral strip and soft sealing material.
With the right material choices, first-class chemical resistance and suitability for both cold and hot circumstances are achieved. SWGs are often provided with an outer guide ring and an inner support ring. A sturdy, metallic structure consisting of three different elements ensures functionality.
TT Gasket’s new machines produce spiral wound gaskets from small DN15 size up to 4000 millimeters in diameter. We manufacture small batches of gaskets according to your drawings, material requirements and standards. The gaskets are optionally equipped with an outer guide ring or inner support ring – or both.
Depending on material choices, we can manufacture the needed gasket in a day. Maintenance time is shortened, and unnecessary downtime is reduced. Thanks to shorter logistic distances, we can serve a wide range of industries in Finland and elsewhere – including OEM customers, such as engine factories and pump or valve manufacturers. Whether you need an exceptionally sized gasket with fast delivery or a twenty-piece delivery batch of basic gaskets, get in touch!
You can use spiral wound gaskets in many different applications. To give you a better idea, we’ve featured example use cases below from a power plant, a pulp factory, and an LNG vessel.
The requirements for sealing applications in the energy industry are very demanding and spiral wound gaskets excel especially when used in steam lines.
The handling processes in this industry typically require a lot of machine power and various types of automated lines.
With this much muscle power in use, you cannot afford your gaskets to let you down.
Spiral wound gaskets are a great choice to be used in batch cooking and in pipelines with high temperature and pressure.
The extreme pressure resistance make spiral wound gaskets a tremendously good choice in high pressure LNG lines.
